April 19, 2009, held at Twin Cities Magic and Costume, $35@ Twin Cities Magic and Costume
1-3 pm Introductory, 3:30-5:30 Advance
Imagine being able to turn a butterscotch candy into peppermint, or a guitar pick into a key. Borrow someone’s finger ring, throw it into the river, and then make it reappear in some mysterious way. All these things and more are possible through the use of one of magic’s most flexible small-object sleights. Of course I am talking about the Bobo Switch.
Be it known that I will be teaching my own personal adaption of the move. I feel this adaption is superior to the original in 3 key ways:
- Better Angles
- More Natural Grip
- Better Uniformity of Action (External appearance of move is very similar to Al Schneider’s Basic False Transfer, as taught in the Sponge Ball Workshop.)
Within the workshop we will cover:
- Brief Review of Finger Palm with small objects
- Brief Review of the Al Schneider Basic False Transfer
- Mechanics of the Bobo Switch
- Choreography of a Transformation
- Choreography of a Transposition
